Middle and high school students are very much a part of church life. The special focus on them through youth group, Christian education, service projects, and many opportunities to be involved, gives them a supportive and nurturing community at Good Shepherd.

All young people in 7th through 12th grades are invited and encouraged to join us in the COGS Youth Group. We strive to provide a program of fellowship, reflection, education, support, and fun. We seek to provide a safe space where we can build healthy relationships between the young people, the adult leaders, and God. Questions? Contact John Merchant at email@example.com.
Youth are encouraged to be part of the many ministries at Good Shepherd, from choirs and acolytes, to outreach activities, to Good Shepherd Players, to preparing the Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, and more. See information about getting involved and making a difference in the community.
High schoolers are also involved in Camp Hope, a week-long summer mission project to repair houses in a poor, rural area in Maryland.
There is special programming for the youth during the Sunday morning Christian education. Youth in 6th and 7th grade will meet in a modified Rite 13 program, and 8th grade through high school will meet for their own program.
The new Education Hour is 9:15 a.m.
