Christmas is a time to share our many blessings with others through donations of Christmas gifts. Parishioners contribute filled boxes for individual children and adults at a local service agency and at the Northern Virginia Training Center.

The parish made Christmas merry for so many this year, with 104 Christmas Boxes filled: 30 for the Northern Virginia Training Center, 38 for Jubilee House, and 36 for Our Daily Bread. Coordinator Debbie King estimates that the value of those gifts was about $10,000! She says, "We have a file of thank you cards we brought back from Jubilee and two recipients at Blake Lane gave us Christmas cards written in Spanish. Tears, hugs, handshakes and excited children for those deliveries." The Good Shepherd Preschool who prepared 70 dozen cookies for the boxes, and many were involved with arranging, assembling, and delivering the gifts.
