Our parish offers the Holy Eucharist in either rite one or two forms from the Book of Common Prayer. If you are new to the Episcopal Church, our clergy will be happy to provide a brief orientation as well as an in-depth DVD introduction.
We welcome all people for our worship and invite all Christians to receive Holy Communion. Children are especially welcomed; we offer families a separate room with large screen TV that displays our worship services as children grow accustomed to the larger nave. For children grades K-3, we have a Children’s Chapel for the first part of the service. Ushers will be happy to direct you to the downstairs chapel; parents may attend this service as children become oriented to this worship at an age appropriate level. Following our services, clergy are available at the altar rail to offer prayers.
A hallmark of our parish are the high feast days of Easter, Pentecost, All Saints and Christmas. We also offer a rich variety of special services: Advent and Christmas Lessons and Carols, All Soul’s Service, Epiphany Feast of Lights, healing services, contemplative services and Evensong.
Those with Special Needs: We are accessible for those with physical challenges. If you would like to receive Holy Communion in your pew, please let the ushers know when you arrive at Good Shepherd. The handicapped parking signs are clearly marked; please feel free to drive to the front of the main entrance if that will be more convenient to assist a family member.
There are many opportunities to participate in different facets of worship at Good Shepherd. Please contact a ministry leader or one of the clergy if you feel called to any of these ministries.
