Welcome and Nametag Ministry
We warmly welcome everyone and assist visitors and newcomers to the Church of the Good Shepherd.

The Welcome and Nametag Ministry includes:

- Sunday greeters who welcome all to Good Shepherd and help visitors and newcomers. They take contact information for follow-up, and help visitors meet others and find their way to coffee hour, adult education classes, and Children's Chapel. Click here for the Welcome Ministry schedule. The Welcome Ministry instructions are available here.

- Newcomer brunches, scheduled quarterly, that provide a tour of our buildings, information on our programs and ministries, and a chance to meet members of the clergy, staff, vestry, and various ministry leaders.

- Nametags, a way for all of us--church members and visitors alike-- to feel more a part of the Good Shepherd family. The team offers stick-on nametags before the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services, and takes requests for permanent nametags.

If you would like to be involved with any of these Welcome and Nametag ministries, please contact Kathy Moore, dksjmoore@yahoo.com, for the Welcome Ministry, and Roberta Lindsay, jlindsay5@cox.net, about the nametag ministry. We appreciate your help as we greet those who are interested in learning more about our congregation.

If you are a visitor or newcomer yourself, please call the church office anytime at 703-323-5400 to find out when the next newcomer gathering will be or to ask questions.
