Ensures the safe, secure, and efficient use of the church's computer network
The IS (Information Services) Ministry is responsible for the purchase, configuration, security, maintenance, updating, and monitoring of the computers and computer network of the Church. The ministry's activities also include user and application support, as well as consultation services to COGS computer users. The ministry's main goals are to ensure the safe, secure, and efficient use of the church's computers and to assist in the planning and execution of IS projects. To this end, the Information Systems Policy Committee has permanent members: the Office Manager, Network Manager, and Application Manager. The IS Ministry does not have a regularly scheduled meeting but convenes as needed.
