SeussicalGood Shepherd Players Announces
Seussical as 33rd Annual Spring Production

Good Shepherd Players, a community outreach ministry of the parish, will perform "Seussical," the show described as a "fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza," on the 2nd and 3rd weekends in June.

The playful, soulful, fun and wonderful lyrics and music by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (the team behind other highly regarded shows like "Ragtime" and "Once On This Island") bring together a work full of life lessons, humor and imagination. In the show, Jojo, a smart child with a wild imagination, weaves together a variety of story lines around such beloved Dr. Seuss characters as The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, The Grinch, and all those wonderful Whos of Whoville.

Players is open to all members of the Church (children 5 years and older, and adults) and all kinds of talents. Stage Director is Beth Becker De Marco, and Music Director is Debbi Miller.

Auditions will be Thursday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Callbacks (if needed) will be Sunday, Feb. 12. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings and Sat. mornings, and are set to start February 16.

A vast variety of talents are needed to have any musical production succeed--sound crew, lighting techs, stage crew, costume, hair and makeup...the list is full and fantastically fun - so come join in!

If you have any questions about the show, please contact us at goodshepherdplayers@gmail.com. You'll have the opportunity to review the music and choreography prior to auditions.

There is So Much You Can "Do"-sical ...
If You Take Part in "Seussical"!!!

You can light the lights, you can sing the songs,
You can wear striped tights and help "right" the "wrongs"

Share the interesting plight of "Gertrude McFuzzes" short tail
or help poor "Horton the Elephant" get out of Jail!

You can sew "bin-bunglers" on costumes so cool and so crazy,
or act the great part of the vain bird - "Ms. Mazey"!

There's a "Cat" in a big hat, the "Grinch" oh so green, and one of the funniest
Generals you ever have seen....

We invite folks of all ages (okay starting at "5") to take part in this play that
helps keep the wonders and lessons of childhood alive.

(There's even a part when Cast and Crew does the "hand jive"!)

We need dancers, and light crew, publicity persons,
kids, stage workers and singers,
- and folks to deliver some great one-liner "zingers"!

We ask potential "Whos"  (and all others..) who are interested to give this a try -
you'll have such good fun and true fellowship - practice times will just fly!

So put down that book, turn off that TV -
Come join in the real fun - LIVE THEATER....You'll see!

"Good Shepherd Players" is an Outreach Ministry of the Church, yes indeed!
And in need of your involvement and support to truly succeed.

So - think about taking part in the show if you "can and can do" -
we'll be thankful you did - and know you'll be too!
