Welcoming Ministry

We warmly welcome all newcomers to the Church of the Good Shepherd.  Our Ministry to newcomers includes:
 
- Sunday greeters who welcome newcomers, take their contact information for the parish office, and help them meet others and find their way to coffee hour, adult education classes, and children's Sunday School.
 
- Newcomer gatherings scheduled regularly throughout the year to provide a tour of our buildings, information on our programs and ministries, and a chance to meet members of the clergy, staff, vestry, and various ministry leaders.
 
- An opportunity for follow-up conversation with a member of the clergy, staff, or a lay leader in order to answer additional questions and to find out how to get more involved with specific ministries.
 
If you would like to be involved with any of these newcomer ministries, please contact the Rev. Megan Stewart-Sicking in the parish office at 703.323.5400.  We would appreciate your help as we greet those who are interested in learning more about our congregation.  If you are a newcomer yourself, please call anytime to find out when the next newcomer gathering will be or to ask questions.
