Good personal stewardship of
time, talent, and treasure has always been essential for
members of Good Shepherd with an emphasis on serving
families, children and adolescents, the surrounding
community and the world.
If
you do not currently make an annual pledge to Good
Shepherd, we ask that you prayerfully consider
participating in the Fall Campaign with an annual
pledge.
For those who are current
pledging, we ask that you prayerfully consider
increasing your measure of giving in 2008 by at least 3%
so we may ensure the mission of Good Shepherd continues
and the measure may be given back to you and your
neighbors.
Good
Shepherd's goal is not to just maintain the church and
its buildings, but to answer our call to minister and to
fulfill our mission of reaching out.
What imaginations and
possibilities are out there for Good Shepherd to
minister to?
How can we impact ourselves,
our neighbors and our community?
Help us continue to grow
those relationships we value at Good Shepherd.
Our stewardship philosophy
is scripturally-based. In Matthew 25:34-36,40, Jesus
says, "Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you, for I was hungry and you
gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to
drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked
and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care
of me, I was in prison and you visited me. Truly I tell
you, just as you did it to one of the least of the
members of my family, you did it to me."
