Information System Ministry

The IS (Information Services) Ministry is responsible for the purchase, configuration, securing, maintenance, updating, and monitoring of the computers and computer network of the Church of the Good Shepherd. The ministry's activities also include user and application support, as well as providing consultation services to COGS computer users. The ministry's main goals are to ensure the safe, secure, and efficient use of the church's computers and to assist in the planning and execution of IS projects. To this end, the ministry Information Systems Policy Committee has permanent members: Office Manager, Network Manager, Application Managers and calls upon other parishioners as needed. The IS Ministry does not have a regularly scheduled meeting but convenes when circumstances require and is available to attend the meetings of other ministries if they so request.
