Advent & Lenten Devotional Booklets
These annual offerings of prayers, scripture readings, and reflections from members of the parish are designed to help parishioners "focus in" on the Advent and Lenten seasons.
 
Parishioner contributions "make" each booklet, for they express the meaning of the seasons from the perspective of our contemporary setting. It is a ministry that reaches into the soul of the contributor and then, through the written word, reaches out to touch the lives of the booklets' readership. It is a ministry that provides a legacy of our faith against the backdrop of the times we live in; a legacy to pass on so as to enrich the lives of future generations.
 
The general, but by no means exclusive, themes for the booklets are: a meaningful story of Advent, Christmas, Lent or Easter; a reflection about what Advent, Christmas, Lent or Easter means; and/or a meaningful Advent, Christmas, Lent or Easter family custom. Many contributors offer a poem or a passage from a book that they have found to be especially meaningful to them. Others offer reflections from Scripture or other writings.
