Adult Education

Sunday Adult Education

We offer a Sunday Education Hour for all ages from 10:15am to 11am.  Children go to Sunday School while adults are invited to attend a number of offerings.  During the summer we change our schedule to two services (7:45am and 10am), with the 10am followed by an educational offering or fellowship event.  For more information about each week's offerings, please check the Sunday bulletin.  As an overview, the 2007-2008 program year offerings include:

Adult Forum:  This takes place in the large Parish Hall or the Parlor and is led by outside speakers, members of the congregation, and our clergy.  This forum is coordinated by the rector, the Rev. Dr. Laurence K. Packard.  

Discovery Series:  This is a learning and discussion group on the basics of Christianity, spirituality, and the Episcopal Church.  It includes short (10-15 minute) video segments on areas such as the Baptismal Covenant, prayer, Bible Study, Action, What we Believe and more.  Each segment is followed by group discussion questions.  During the second half of the year, the typical class will be replaced by our annual Inquirers' Class for adults who wish to be Confirmed or Received at the Bishop's visit.  These classes are coordinated by the Rev. Megan E. Stewart-Sicking.

Bible Study:  Join this group for topical Bible Study with the Rev. Matthew R. Scott.  Beginning in Lent 2008, this class will be associated with a Bible Study Blog.  Please contact the Rev. Matthew R. Scott for more information.
